A larger plan with live collaboration, tracked suggestions and a team workspace is in development. It is not on sale yet because the features that would justify it are not finished, and we would rather not take money for a roadmap.

Questions
Do I need a card to start?
No. The free plan has no time limit and asks for no payment details. When a paid plan shows a free trial, your first subscription starts it without a card too; add one before the trial ends to keep the plan.
What happens to my books if I cancel or downgrade?
Every book stays in your library and open, and Copy as text and Download as Markdown keep working on every one of them; nothing is deleted. Without a paid plan you cannot add a book beyond the first, and the other paid features, such as versions, import and Word, EPUB and PDF exports (Artisan and above), wait for a plan that includes them.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?
Yes, from the billing page in your account. A change applies at the next renewal, and the difference is handled by Stripe.
How do refunds work?
If you are not satisfied with a plan that does not include AI features, ask us within 30 days of a charge and we refund that charge in full, no questions asked. Plans that include AI features cost us real money every time the AI runs, so their charges are refunded in full only if you ask within 7 days of the charge; after that they are not refundable except where the law requires. No plan includes AI features today, so the longer window applies to every current plan. The full wording is in the terms of use. Write to [email protected] and a person answers.
Is there any AI in Author Sweets? Do you train on my writing?
There is no AI writing, editing or summarising inside the app today, and your manuscripts are never used to train AI models, by us or by our providers; the AI pledge in the privacy notice says so. If AI tools arrive later they will be optional, run only when you start them and only on the text you choose, and use a provider whose contract forbids training on what it receives.
Can I use it on my phone, or without a connection?
Yes. Author Sweets runs in any current browser and installs from the browser as an app on phones, tablets and desktops. Books you have opened keep working offline and sync when the connection returns.
Which payment methods do you take?
Payment runs through Stripe, which takes major cards and, where available, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Author Sweets never sees your card number.
